This one I wrote after my visit to the large Marthe Wéry exhibition (The Colours of Monochrome) at the museum of fine arts of Tournai in 2004.
It's a song about seduction and the tactile aspects of both art and love.
I asked Nadine Bal (BeNe GeSSeRiT) to read the French part of the lyrics (the role of Marthe Wéry herself). I thought Nadine's expressive voice would perfectly fit the music. Thank you Nadine, and thanks also to Alain Neffe for the recording of this part.
This one became the title track of the 'Matter Is Alive' CD released on EE Tapes in 2008.
This collection put me back on track after a long period of musical absence.
