‘La Vie’ started as a real 'ambient' track, based on some typical guitar chords in minor repeating throughout the piece. But at a certain moment my intuition must have taken an unexpected turn.
The process was, as it were, hijacked by a drum pattern.
Usually, I let time, chance, sudden inspiration (and friends passing by) play an important role in the ‘writing’ process. This way it often takes several months, sometimes even years, for a track to be 'finished'. But at best, we end up somewhere we’ve never been before.

Drita’s part of the text on ‘La Vie Est Un Rêve’ was inspired by the Friedrich Ruckert poem ‘Liebst du um Schönheit’, as used by Gustav Mahler in his ‘Ruckert Lieder’ (1901).
